This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") sets out the activities that are not allowed on Melonslab services. It forms part of our Terms of Service, and a breach of this policy is a breach of the Terms. Resource and bandwidth expectations are covered separately by our Fair Use Policy.
1. Scope
This policy applies to all Melonslab services, every account, and anyone you allow to use your services. You are responsible for all activity that takes place through your account and your services.
2. Lawful use
Everything you do on the Services must comply with the applicable laws of your home country, of Sweden and of the server's location, as well as international law — as you certify in the Terms. Illegal activity and illegal content of any kind are prohibited, including fraud, phishing, child sexual abuse material, terrorist content and the infringement of intellectual property rights.
3. Prohibited activities
The following are never permitted, on any plan or tier:
Attacks — attacking, probing or gaining unauthorised access to any system, including denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, host or port scanning, brute-forcing and intrusion attempts.
Email spam — sending unsolicited bulk messages, operating open relays, or forging message headers or sender identities.
Excessive or illegitimate scraping — scraping or crawling that overloads its target, disregards its technical countermeasures or terms, or collects data unlawfully. Legitimate large-scale scraping additionally requires prior approval under the Fair Use Policy.
Entry into our network — using a service as a portal or entry point into our network, including attempts to reach our management systems, other customers' services or our suppliers' infrastructure, or to circumvent resource limits or the isolation between customers.
Unsandboxed malware — intentionally running malware or other harmful software without proper sandboxing and containment (see section 4 for security research).
Adult content — hosting or distributing pornographic content. This applies regardless of the content's legality, in part because of restrictions imposed by our payment providers.
Harm to the platform — any activity that endangers the security or stability of our network, or that damages our or our suppliers' hardware or equipment, brand reputation or network reputation.
4. Security research
We support legitimate security research. Researchers may analyse malware and other harmful software on our services for genuine research purposes, provided proper precautions are taken — including properly isolated, sandboxed environments, no attack traffic leaving your service, and no harm to third parties or the platform. We recommend telling us about such work in advance at contact@hypefox.net, and we may ask you to demonstrate your precautions.
5. Enforcement
Where we reasonably believe this policy is being breached, we may investigate and take proportionate action — including throttling, suspending or terminating services and removing content — as described in the Terms. Abuse reports are handled as described in section 4 of the Terms.
6. Reporting abuse
To report abuse, spam or unwanted traffic originating from our network, contact abuse@hypefox.net. We investigate every genuine report.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Where a change materially affects how you may use the Services, we will give reasonable notice before it takes effect.
